ABTOT Notice

We are sorry to confirm that Groupia Ltd (trading as Groupia Golf, GoHen, StagWeb, Groupia School Trips and Company Away Days) ceased trading on 16 June 2026.

If you have booked a trip with any Groupia Ltd brand, please read the following carefully.

Key Information

  • All bookings departing on or before 31 August 2026 will proceed as planned.
  • All bookings departing on or after 1 September 2026 will be cancelled and subject to a refund claim.

Who is ABTOT?

ABTOT is a UK government-approved travel protection scheme. It protects customer payments and ensures that, in the event of financial failure, bookings are either fulfilled or refunded.

Why is ABTOT involved?

ABTOT is supporting customers following the cessation of trading of Groupia Ltd.

  • Bookings departing on or before 31 August 2026 are expected to be fulfilled.
  • Bookings departing on or after 1 September 2026 will be cancelled and subject to a refund claim.

My trip is due to depart on or before 31 August 2026 – will it still go ahead?

Yes. Based on current arrangements with suppliers, your trip is expected to proceed as planned.

My trip is due to depart on or after 1 September 2026 – how do I make a claim?

Instructions, including a link to the online claims portal, will be published on this page by 22 June 2026.

Who should I contact?

  • For reassurance about trips departing on or before 31 August 2026, or for guidance on claims (for later departures):

Who should I pay my remaining balance to?

You should now only make payments via the customer portal for Groupia Golf, GoHen, StagWeb, Groupia School Trips or Company Away Days.

  • Payments made via the relevant customer portal will now be received into a newly created and protected bank account controlled by ABTOT.
  • Any payments you make via the relevant customer portal will be used solely to support the continued delivery of your travel services.
  • Please do not make payment to any other party or bank account as these will not be protected by ABTOT.
  • Do not make payments to any previously used bank accounts in the name of Groupia Ltd as the Company is now in Administration.

Can I make changes to my booking?

Changes may still be possible, depending on:

  • supplier availability
  • your original booking terms
  • ABTOT arrangements

Please contact the events team via the VIP portal to discuss your options.

Can I cancel my booking?

You may request cancellation. However:

  • Original booking terms will continue to apply
  • Any refund will be handled under ABTOT arrangements

Please contact your event manager to discuss cancellation.

Is my money safe?

Yes. Your booking is protected under ABTOT arrangements designed to ensure either:

  • Your trip continues, or
  • You receive the appropriate refund if it cannot

Bookings including flights

Groupia Limited did not sell flights as part of its packages.

Any flights you have arranged separately remain your responsibility.

Bookings made via a travel agent or third party

If you booked through a travel agent or another travel company (i.e. not directly with Groupia Limited), you should contact that company directly for guidance.

How long will refunds take?

ABTOT aims to process claims as quickly as possible.

  • Claims may take up to six weeks to complete.
  • To avoid delays, please ensure you provide:
    • Your booking confirmation
    • Proof of payment (or clear photographs of these documents), for example a bank statement
